This Thursday, October 11, 6:00 - 7:40 PM in Room: B-2014, Dr. David Arnow, co-founder of TuringsCraft, Inc., the creators of CodeLab, will come to MEC and give a workshop on the uses of CodeLab for both students and faculty.

CodeLab is the web-based interactive programming exercise system for introductory programming classes.  CodeLab exercises are short, focused on a particular topic and automatically evaluated. The exercises range from "one-liners" like a variable declaration or an assignment statement to more complex problems involving loops, functions or methods or even small class definitions.

Prof. Arnow will first talk to students from 6:00 - 6:30 PM.  Afterwards, students will visit the open lab and practice CodeLab exercises.  The 6:30 - 7:40 PM session is reserved for faculty.  In this second session, Prof. Arnow will cover faculty-specific features of CodeLab.

To get the most from this CodeLab Workshop, attendees should REGISTER, LOGIN, and complete the 15 QUICKSTART exercises.
